MACBETH

by William Shakespeare
Adapted by Jasmine Brooks and Tia Smith

When a group of witches prophesizes that Macbeth will be King of Scotland, he and his power-hungry wife enact a slew of violence to ascend the throne and guard their fate. Once an honorable general, Macbeth becomes a tyrannical ruler, torn between his ruthless desire and guilty conscious. This reimagined tragedy unveils the ties between (Black) womanhood, the limits of masculinity, and the human psyche.
